Join the Civilian Ranger Patrol

The Clark County Park District is excited to announce our new volunteer program, the Civilian Ranger Patrol (CRP), open to adults and youth ages 12 and up. This is your chance to make a real difference in our community while learning valuable skills and having fun in the great outdoors!

What You’ll Learn

As a Civilian Ranger Patrol member, you’ll receive training in:

  • Search and Rescue Methods: Become proficient in techniques to help find and rescue lost individuals.
  • First Aid and Self-Survival Techniques: Learn essential skills to take care of yourself and others in emergency situations.
  • History of Our Parks and Natural Areas: Gain in-depth knowledge about the rich history and natural beauty of our parks.

Certification Requirements

To ensure you’re fully prepared, you’ll need to complete the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program provided by the Clark County Emergency Management Agency. Additionally, certification in adult and infant CPR/AED is required. There is a $25 fee to cover the cost of the CPR/First Aid/AED class.

Volunteer Duties

Once certified, you’ll assist in patrolling park properties, offering help and information to enhance visitors’ enjoyment. Conservation-minded individuals and families are encouraged to apply. Patrol areas include:
