Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park serves as a place to honor and remember the sacrifices made by our service men and women in defense of our freedom throughout America’s history. Veterans Memorial Park is located along Buck Creek at the corner of Fountain Avenue and Cliff Park Road in downtown Springfield. The park redevelopment plan features monuments telling the stories of local veterans through images. These images will be selected by a committee of local veterans.

Four sections of the park will focus on each century through America’s history and the major conflicts during those periods. Artistic hedgehog structures will symbolize and connect each era of conflicts as a reminder of the devastation and destruction of war. The renovation will include new ADA-Accessible walkways, monuments, plaza area, flowers, benches, electrical work including LED lamps, drainage and other items. The master plan was prepared by CYP Landscape Design Studios and is estimated to cost $400,000. Please consider a donation to create a lasting tribute to our heroes at Veterans Memorial Park.

Your donation will honor local members of the armed services who served our country. Veterans Memorial Park will be a living legacy to Clark County veterans, past, present and future. All donations made to this cause are tax-deductible and can be made payable to the Springfield Foundation with Veterans Park written in the memo line or in correspondence accompanying the gift.
