The days are beginning to brighten as the weather warms, the flowers bloom and we venture into the parks and onto the trails for outdoor activities. Parks and trails play a critical role in our community. They are a focal point where people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds can come together to play, relax, contemplate, run, talk, gather and simply BE!
When you visit your parks this spring to hike, picnic, ride your bike or play at one of the many playgrounds, spend some time reflecting on what these parks mean to you. Take a deep breath and close your eyes, listen to the sounds around you, smell the fresh air, feel the sun on your face and the wind on your skin.
We hope that you will join us this spring at one of our many activities, programs and events to meet new people or reconnect with long-time friends and neighbors. Make sure you check out our latest activity guide. You can download it by clicking here.
See you in the parks.
