Citizen science is where the public volunteers assist scientists and National Trail in environmental research. Scientists benefit from having a lot more data to analyze. We are looking for individuals that are interested in collecting data for a variety of projects, participating in a volunteer work days, and sharing experiences. Some current projects include stream invertebrates, wetland feasibility, coyote monitoring, bluebird monitoring and more. Anyone can be a citizen scientist – all you need is a passion for nature, our parks, and helping your community! Please contact National Trail at (937)328-7275 or by email at NationalTrail@springfieldohio.gov.
