Citizen science is where the public volunteers assist scientists and National Trail in environmental research. Scientists benefit from having a lot more data to analyze. We are looking for individuals that are interested in collecting data for a variety of projects, participating in a volunteer work days, and sharing experiences. Some current projects include stream invertebrates, wetland feasibility, coyote monitoring, bluebird monitoring and more. Anyone can be a citizen scientist – all you need is a passion for nature, our parks, and helping your community! Coyote Camera Card Exchange Program
Have an interest in participating in scientific research? National Trail and Wittenberg University are looking for citizens just like you to help us widen our efforts by giving us a larger view of coyote populations and biodiversity throughout Clark County for our Common Sense Coyote research effort. All you need is a trail camera and a place to monitor wildlife. We just ask you share your photos with us. We will even supply the memory cards and provide tips for camera placement.
