Buck Creek Trail

Follow Buck Creek along a quaint, scenic wooded multi-use trail stretching from Plum Street all the way to Buck Creek State Park. Whether you’re cycling, skating, jogging or just taking a leisurely stroll, the Buck Creek Trail offers plenty of opportunities to connect with both nature and amenities at Veterans Park and Old Reid Park as you traverse these nine paved miles. The Buck Creek Trail is ADA-accessible and provides numerous access points for people of all abilities. Printed maps of the Great Springfield Trailways are available for FREE at the National Trail Parks and Registration Admin Building. You can also download the map by clicking here.

Parking and restrooms are available in designated lots along the trail:

  • Old Reid Park off Pumphouse and Croft Roads
  • Buck Creek State Park on Croft Road
  • Buck Creek State Park beach parking lots
