17-acre park includes an accessible playground, outdoor
theater, and picnicking areas. The park is the home each summer for the
Springfield Summer Arts
Festival, operated by the Springfield Arts
Council.
Improvements at Veterans Park

A new restroom, concession and plaza area are under
construction. The project is funded by the Springfield Arts
Council. The new renovation will be utilized during the Summer Arts Festival. Completion date for the project is June 1,
2010.
Veteran's Park Project,
Amphitheater Area
Phase I of this project, funded by the NTPRD Capital Campaign, is the construction of a concession stand/restroom
facility which has been completed.
Phase II of this
project was funded by the Springfield Arts Council which was a re-design and
construction of the stage and control building.
